Today many hyperbaric facilities have also become wound care centers. Understanding and utilizing today's technologies in the treatment of chronic wounds has become an expectation of the Hyperbaric/Wound Care physician. Hyperbaric and Wound Care Associates utilize a novel approach to wound healing that synergistically combines the latest modalities in advanced wound care with hyperbaric oxygen therapy when indicated. Patients with chronic wounds, those wounds that are compromised from healing, are globally evaluated. Factors contributing to compromised healing are then addressed with appropriate interventions. This wound care team approach utilizes the talents of a comprehensive group of specialists, who direct their expertise at each of the individual factors that are compromising the patients wound healing.
